About Brigid

When I was a professional dancer and Radio City Rockette, Pilates was my secret sauce for staying injury-free. I loved dancing, but what interested me more was how movement happens. So I went to college to learn all about it. But somehow in all my coursework about the body (anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics)—I lost touch with my own body. During this time, the wellness industry was booming. But the more trends I tried, the less “well” I felt.

Post-grad, I moved to NYC for an Account role in advertising. I joined a gym which offered a complimentary Pilates private. Leaving that session, I felt better than I had in years. With a limited budget and a busy work schedule, I began squeezing in my own short classes between my couch and bed in my studio apartment.

Within a month, I noticed beautiful shifts. I stood taller, I moved with more ease. My neck stopped hurting at my desk job. My lower back didn’t ache from wearing heels. The changes didn’t stop there. Pilates was at the root of a life makeover.

My short daily practice proved to me that small steps, with consistency, work. My body got stronger, and so did my mind. I became more intuitive with food. This led me to pursue my Holistic Health Coaching Certification from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. I gained a deeper understanding of how to nourish myself and others—on and off the plate. Finally, I received my Pilates Mat Certification through SPRING. Movement.

I believe everyone deserves to move with more ease, and discover their own sustainable approach to wellness. Discovering this for myself, and later helping friends and family with their own movement and wellness goals, gave me the confidence to share this more broadly.

I live in Brooklyn with my husband, Kyle. I’m currently working towards my Reformer & Pre/Post Natal certifications.

I’m so happy you’re here. Hope to see you on the mat!
